Eight improvisers take the stage in full Federation uniform and, based on audience suggestions, create an entirely original "episode" set in the Star Trek Universe. Expect melodramatic acting, pointy sideburns, aliens in bad wigs, paper mache rocks and transparent social commentary. But don't expect James T. Kirk or the USS Enterprise; this is a different ship and a new captain every week.

Stolen brutally from Bay Area Theatre Sports in San Francisco, Start Trekkin came to live with the Heroes of Comedy in Austin, Texas at the Hideout Theatre. After wild success in the press, and the 2005 Las Vegas Star Trek Convention under their belt, the troupe disbanded. But one intrepid crew member upon landing on the shores of New York realized that there lay fertile ground for a resurgence. Girding his loins, he took up the uniform once again and has brought life back into this uniquely exciting improv format. A whole new cast from right here in the fair city of NY has come together to revive the tradition, and expand the galactic boundaries of Comedy.
